WebFeb 6, 2014 · The 1080 farm king with 540 pto has a gear box that chain drives the 540 shaft so it gets up higher so that pto runs straight when operating. The 1080 must be heavier built then the 8 footer as it is twice as heavy. We added some wings on it a few years back to make it wide enough so we don't take the duals off the tractor now.
